# AI and Cybersecurity Training at Black Hat India 2026: What to Expect

By Charles Givre · 2026-07-09

> What to expect from GTK Cyber's AI and cybersecurity training at the inaugural Black Hat India 2026 in Bengaluru, October 27 to 30. Courses, format, and who should attend.

## Black Hat comes to Bengaluru

Black Hat is running its first event in India: Black Hat India 2026, at the Sheraton Grand in Bengaluru from October 27 to 30. GTK Cyber is teaching during the training days, and for security professionals across India this is a chance to get hands-on AI and machine learning training from working practitioners without leaving the country.

If you have wanted this kind of training but could not justify travel to Las Vegas or Singapore, this is the year that changes.

## The two courses

GTK Cyber is running two courses at [Black Hat India 2026](/events), both during the training days (October 27 to 28):

- **AI Cyber Bootcamp (4 days, Oct 27-30).** The deepest course we run. It moves from data science foundations through generative AI and LLMs, building AI agents, and adversarial AI (evasion, poisoning, prompt injection, and RAG poisoning), all on real security data.
- **AI in Action: Comprehensive Strategies for Cybersecurity (1 day, offered Oct 27 and 28).** A focused day on applying AI and machine learning to real security work: threat analysis, detection, and automation, with the tradeoffs made clear.

Full details and registration are on the [Black Hat India training page](/lp/black-hat-india-2026-training).

## What the training is actually like

Every GTK Cyber course is hands-on and lab-driven. Half the time is labs on real security data, not slides. You work in Jupyter, build and evaluate models, and leave with working code you keep and can run against your own data.

The instructors are working practitioners, not full-time trainers: Charles Givre (CISSP, Apache Drill PMC Chair, 20-plus years) and Summer Rankin (PhD, 30-plus peer-reviewed publications). The courses are vendor-neutral, because GTK Cyber sells training, not a product. You learn techniques and tools you can apply anywhere.

## Who should attend

The bootcamp suits intermediate practitioners: SOC analysts, threat hunters, detection engineers, and security engineers who can read Python and want to apply machine learning to security data. No prior ML experience is required, but the pace assumes you are comfortable with scripting.

The one-day AI in Action course fits practitioners who want a focused start rather than a four-day deep dive, or who cannot spare the full week.

## Bringing a team

Group rates are available for three or more. GTK Cyber also runs custom on-site and virtual training for teams in Bengaluru and across India. If you want to build AI capability across a whole team, that is often the better route. Contact info@gtkcyber.com.

To reserve a seat, start on the [Black Hat India 2026 training page](/lp/black-hat-india-2026-training) and register on the Black Hat India site.
